Amaechi alleges Wike spends N50m  on alcohol weekly

Amaechi also said what Wike spends on alcohol in two weeks was what he used in building a primary school during his time as governor

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, has said the current Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, spends N50 million on alcohol every week. 

Amaechi also said Wike is planning to continue his recklessness in office through his stooge and governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Siminalayi Fubara.

The former governor made this known on Tuesday when campaigning for the APC governorship candidate in the state, Tonye Cole, in  Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area.

Amaechi, who claimed he got details of what Wike spends from his supplier also said what the incumbent governor spends on alcohol in two weeks was what he used in building primary schools during his time as governor.

The former minister went on to say the electorate in the state have seen through the governor and rejected him. 

He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remain neutral in the Saturday, March 18 gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly elections in the state.

Amaechi said: “The person Wike buys alcohol from, said Wike spends N50 million every week on alcohol. The primary schools we built is N112 million, it means that in two weeks Wike has drank one primary school.

“When Wike talks, it is alcohol that is talking. And he’s so shameless about it. Wike told the whole world on live Tv that he was drinking a very expensive 40-year-old whiskey, in the morning.

“We are asking INEC to be neutral. The people have rejected Wike and his government. Every street I went to, people were jumping on top of me shouting.”
