NNPP Ondo Central Senatorial candidate congratulates winner, Niyi Adegbonmire

The Senatorial Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ondo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Seun Majasan has congratulated Niyi Adegbonmire SAN the Senator-elect for the Ondo Central Senatorial District under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Majasan in a statement issued shortly after Adegbonmire was declared as the winner of the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday, also congratulated the people of Akure for the victory.

Adegbonmire who contested the election on the platform of the APC defeated his closest rival, Ifedayo Adedipe SAN of the People’s Democratic Party, in the election held on Saturday.

The Returning Officer for the zone, Gbenga Onibi, while announcing the results, said the APC candidate polled 103,871 votes, while the PDP candidate got 74,702 votes.

Onibi stated that Adegbonmire polled the highest number of valid votes and is declared the senator-elect for the senatorial zone

Majasan said, ‘May I express my warmest congratulations on your landslide victory at the just concluded Ondo Central Senatorial Zone election

“As you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your new office, I implore you to be selfless as you represent the good people of Ondo Central Senatorial District.

“Surely, with you, Ondo Central Senatorial zone’s interest will be sympathetically and fully protected at the National Assembly,” he said.

“I am also assuring you that we are going to work together to develop the zone whenever I am call to do so and to also ensure peaceful coexistence among the people of the state”, he added.
