Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire after considering an offer from Serie A giants, Inter Milan, has decided to stay back at Old Trafford and fight for his shirt.

According to the Daily Star, the Red Devil’s captain turned down a loan move to Inter Milan before the January transfer window closes on Tuesday night.

The report, however, added that Maguire would consider leaving Manchester United in the summer if he cannot regain his position or at least get regular playing time under the Red Devil manager, Erik ten Hag.

Despite his refusal to join the Serie A outfit this January, Inter Mila are still expected to be one of several top clubs willing to sign the England international in the summer of 2023 if he decides to leave the Red Devils.

Maguire lost his place at the beginning of the season after a series of poor results by United.

He started just one Premier League match in 2023 after losing his place to Ajax recruit and World Cup winner, Lisandro Martinez.

The 29-year-old has found himself frozen out by Ten Hag despite remaining an integral part of the England national team.

Prior to the arrival of Lisandro Martinez, Maguire was the first-choice central defender partner of French defender, Raphael Varane.
