Big Brother Naija “Shine Ya Eye” star, Maria Chike Benjamin, recently sent tongues wagging on social media after her tweet to a clergyman, Apostle Joshua Selman surfaced online.
It all started when the apostle shared a tweet where he offered prayers for netizens and wished them a happy new week.
Reacting to the post, Maria asked the clergyman if he was the preacher they claimed she was dating
In her words: “Amen! But I’m sorry man of God, are you the one they allegedly claim I had something with?”
The former air hostess then revealed that she and her boyfriend laughed when they heard the rumour She then apologised to him in case he found her comment offensive.
“No offence but myself and my partner just laughed out loud!… May God be with you amen,….. I found you on a retweet, please, don’t be offended” she added.

After Maria’s tweet to the clergyman found its way to social media, a number of netizens who commented argued the post was unnecessary, and that the reality star was just chasing clout.
A tweep, churchill_si wrote: “Apostle Joshua Selman is not on any Social Media platform.”
Another internet user, dora_homes_said: “Maria don’t carry your clout near this man.”
amina_minaah added: “Okay, even if he was the apostle, the information wasn’t necessary.”
