Regragui and his team failed to progress to the World Cup finals after goals from Hernandez and Kolo Muani ended their impressive run at the tournament

Morocco coach, Walid Regragui has thrown his weight behind France, saying his country will be backing Le Blues to go all the way and win the World Cup, following his team’s exit from the tournament on Wednesday night.
According to Regragui, the North Africans will now support their semi-final conquerors, France, to win the tournament in Qatar after their 2-0 loss to the world champions.
Morocco earned the record as the first African nation to ever reach a World Cup semi-final in Qatar after defeating a Ronaldo-led Portuguese side at the quarter-finals stage.
However, a 6th minute goal from Theo Hernandez and another second-half goal by substitute Randal Kolo Muani at the Al Bayt Stadium ended their ambition and impressive run at the Mundial.

Addressing reporters during the post-match conference of the encounter against France, Walid Regragui blamed his team’s exit on injuries to several of his key players.
He went on to reveal the team he and his country will be rooting for during the finals of the tournament on Sunday, December 18.
He said, “This was one step too far. We had too many players at 60-70% fitness. My players gave everything. They have gone as far as they could. We will support France now,”
France will become the first nation in 60 years to win the World Cup back-to-back if they conquer South American champions, Argentina.
