Nkechi Blessing labels self Queen of Ile-Ife, Nigerians react

Nkechi Blessing had publicly asked Oba Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, to make her one of his wives, weeks back after the monarch married 6 new brides

Controversial Nollywood thespian, Nkechi Blessing, has sent tongues wagging on social media after she shared a post where she referred to herself as a queen of Ile-Ife kingdom.

The actress had publicly made a pass at the Ooni of Ife asking to be considered as one of his wives, weeks back after the highly revered monarch married 6 new brides. 

Apparently tired of waiting for the king to make up his mind, Nkechi Blessing decided to take matters into her hands. The movie star took to her Instagram page to make a curious pronouncement.  

She wrote, “OLORI Nkechi Blessing Sunday Her Royal highnesses the queen of ile ife kingdom❤ #incomingbride”

After the now-viral post made the rounds on social media, Nigerians trooped to the comment section to air their views on the actress’s action.

An IG user identified as @endwell_1 wrote, “Wahala lafin oba! Ooni, I knew he’ll later marry the one that will leak his preek, besides, have you ever heard Olori nkechi before?”

Another netizen, @joel_mighty_213 said, “Wetin you Dey smoke ma.” 

Extra_touch_couture added, “Imagine…..u don dump ur boyfriend now con knack Ooni of Ife you fit come tomorrow talk say Ooni preek small (nonsense).” 

Another internet user, @roslyn_anointed_emmanuel also said, “You are being very disrespectful to the throne and I hope you don’t get yourself in trouble… You look beautiful tho.” 

While @abimbola_bilewu wrote,  “Kabiyesi sir. Please be careful of having a harlot as wife and make sure you consult for proper verification if someone is qualified to be an Olori in your palace.”
