Rico succumbed to injuries sustained in a ghastly accident on Tuesday, after spending sometime on a life support machine

Nurses who attended to the late BBNaija reality TV star, Patrick Fakoya, better known as Rico Swavey, at a hospital in Lagos State, are currently being investigated by the state government.
A 30-second video clip showing the final moments of the Nollywood actor was recorded by one of the nurses attending to him, while he was unconscious on a chair and placed on oxygen.
The clip, which has since attracted condemnation from members of the public, showed the moment the nurses were trying to put him on a bed and one of them brought out a phone and started recording events.

In the now-viral video, another nurse was heard cautioning her colleague against the unprofessional conduct.
She said, “You people should stop making the video; somebody is dying, you people are making video,”
Reacting to the development, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said the hospital involved isn’t owned by the state government.
He also disclosed that an investigation into the unprofessional conduct of the nurses has commenced.
He said, “That hospital is not a government hospital; we have started an investigation into the unprofessional conducts of those who appeared in that video.”
Also commenting on the viral video, a marketing strategist, Samuel Atigba, said the actions of the nurses broke his heart.
Using his verified Twitter handle, @SamuelOtigba, he wrote, “Anytime I watch that video of the nurses joking, laughing and making needless videos of Rico for social media instead of giving him the necessary urgent attention needed to save his life, my heart breaks over again cause he could have survived. RIP Rico.”
Fellow reality TV star, Alex Asogwa, on Tuesday, October 11, announced that the thespian was involved in a fatal car crash.
She shared the news on her Twitter page saying doctors were trying to resuscitate him and asked Nigerians to pray for him.
Rico Swavey, however, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, October 13, after spending sometime on a life support machine.
