The former governor of Anambra State posted photos of his visit to social media. He said, “Earlier today, I visited @GovWike in Port Harcourt. As usual, I was very well received with genuine warmth and fraternal affection. Naturally, we discussed issues germane to national interest and nation-building.”

The visit comes at a time Wike appears to have isolated himself from the PDP following his seeming inability to force the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu, to resign.

This is the third time Obi is visiting Wike since the former declared his presidential ambition.

Obi last met the outspoken Rivers governor in London. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was part of the meeting.

Meanwhile, Obi also visited Makinde in Ibadan.

He tweeted, “I was at Ibadan, and I visited my brother and friend, HE @seyiamakinde, the Governor of Oyo State as part of my consultations ahead of the 2023 general elections. We had very frank and constructive discussions.”
