Massive youthful energy that poured on the streets of Jos in the one million march for Peter Obi on 17 September congealed to power the official launch of his campaign on Wednesday in vibrant hopes of making him the President of Nigeria.

“Go and get your PVCs [Permanent Voter Cards] and vote for Peter Obi,” Muslim convert to Christianity now EL-Buba Outreach Ministries International President, Isa El-Buba, told the crowd of mostly youths who sang, danced, and chanted Obi’s name at the Jos Township Stadium, per reporting by IDOMAtv, posted on YouTube.

The crowd shouted, “Y-ee-ss.”

El-Buba advised Nigerians to vote credible and responsible leaders in 2023, saying as a preacher, he supports Obi because he believes that, by the grace of God, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate will salvage Nigeria from its woes.

“Hold us responsible for your education, your employment, you security,” Obi  himself told the rally, promising to end insecurity,  poverty, and unemployment if elected.

Obi urged people to pray for peaceful and credible elections in 2023, saying only credible polls would produce credible leaders.

MBF President Pogu Bitrus said the forum supports Obi’s candidature because his presidency will address the problems of the Middle Belt.

“We didn’t arrive at the decision to support Peter Obi on sheer sentiments, but on the principle of justice and fairness,” he explained.

“Again, after a careful study, we realise that Obi is competent and capable to take this nation out of its current challenges

“So, we organised this rally to show that we are fully in support of his candidature.”
