NBS says airfare rises 8.43% MoM

By Jeph Ajobaju, Chief Copy Editor

Domestic one-way airfare rose to N60,811.75 in July, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has announced in its just released “Transport Fare Watch July 2022” report of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), but the claim is not the reality.

Travellers had seen the fare rise to an average N75,000 in July and their concern at the time that a ticket might cost N100,000 in the coming months is already being borne out.
