Nigerian veteran rapper, Jude Abaga, popularly known as MI has set August 19 as the release date for his much-anticipated album “The Guy.”
This comes weeks after the ace Nigerian singer took to social media to disclose he is set to drop his stage name for a new one, after fifteen years of being identified with it.
MI made the assertion via a post on his Instagram page on Thursday. July 7, where he claimed his new stage name came about because his upcoming album is a big one that deserves a nomenclature.
He wrote, “After over 15 Years as Mister Incredible, I will be retiring the name ‘MI Abaga’ and taking on a new name for a new project because my new project is hard AF and deserves a new name,” he wrote.

MI, though still tight-lipped about his new name in his latest post, shared a snippet of what the new project will look like ahead of the release, leaving many fans anticipating the album’s release.
MI wrote, “Prepare to meet The Guy. August 19th, 2022. #TheGuyIsComing #TheGuyAlbum.”
Many of the rapper’s fans and followers have since taken to the comment section of his post to give their thoughts, with some suggesting that ‘The Guy‘ is his new stage name.
