Oliseh made this known while reacting to news of the goalkeeper’s return to training with English Premier League side, Wolves for the first time in nearly five years.

Carl Ikeme trained with The Wanderers a few days ago and it was an emotional return for the 35-year-old who returned to the Compton Park training ground of the team and met his old teammates and new technical crew.

Reacting to the development in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Saturday, Oliseh wrote: “Same here Mimi. Such a lovely human being.”

Sunday Oliseh, as the Super Eagles handler in 2015, gave Ikeme his first national team action in a game that ended in a stalemate against Tanzania.

Ikeme, who spent 18 years of his professional career with Wolverhampton Wanderers, then went on to don the Super Eagles’ jersey 10 more times.

He was in goal when Nigeria defeated Zambia in Ndola in a 2018 World Cup qualifying fixture before he was diagnosed with Leukaemia.

Carl Ikeme subsequently hung up his gloves and announced his retirement from football the same year at the age of 30 years.
