Good Samaritan shows up in the nick of time when a three-year-old child was abandoned and left to die by himself in a tomb stone

A three-year-old child, Marvelous, was abandoned and left to die in a Delta State cave, until a Good Samaritan, Benjamin Omin, showed up to rescue the helpless child.
It is not clear how long the child had been left to his devices in the stone tomb, but the dent on his back and buttocks suggest he must have been there for days, if not weeks.
There is also no information about why the child was dumped there, except for speculation that it might be ill health because the child looks sickly and malnourished.
Omin, who is the Good Samaritan that brought the attention of Nigerians to the plight of the boy, said on his Twitter handle, @ominbenjamin1, that he was notified about the boy via a phone call he received.

He said: “When I got a call about this little 3yr old boy that is abandoned at a tomb stone expecting him to die, my heart cut into pieces,” he said.
He later added. “Am going to Delta tomorrow to rescue this child and he is a priority to me. No child deserves to be treated like trash because each soul is precious. We have to speak up against child abandonment and make our children and the safety of the vulnerable our priority.”
The following day, Omin tweeted: “I just got to Delta State a few minutes ago to stand up for the 3 year old malnourished and abandoned child who was left at a tomb stone hoping he dies off. It was a long journey but he is worth it. Tomorrow, am taking him to be admitted in the hospital for proper care. “
The Good Samaritan added: “I finally got to Marvelous and took him out of the Headstone tomb stone where he was dumped with the hope that he dies. I asked if I could carry him and was told ‘wetin we go use am do’ meaning ‘of what use is he to me’. He is admitted into the hospital and drugs have been administered. He is sleeping peacefully now,” he said.
A tweet from @Drmuzoic summarized the mood of many: “Individuals keep doing the work of government and it is disheartening. This child has a village chief, LGA chairman, HOR member, senator, governor and even ministers. Yet, they all collect allowance and act like they are not seeing. When will all these end?”
