Enyimba’s Abu Azeez believes the last eight teams in the CAF Champions League are good for the title and hopes his side continues to improve.
Enyimba, two-time African champions, made the group stage of the competition but will have to wait for the draw later this month to know its foes.
Said Azeez: “We expect a favourable draw at this stage. Every team that made the last eight is a good team so all we just pray for is to do better than we have done in previous games.
Enyimba has instilled confidence in its fans especially, after the neck-breaking final qualifier against Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia.
“Anything is possible. Most people didn’t give us a chance to make it to the group stage ahead of Etoile du Sahel but now we are there already. It’s not a fluke, we just have to stay focused and play to our very best,” Azeez added.
The draws for the group stage are scheduled for May 24.
