Everton had the opportunity to displace Arsenal in the 6th position, with a win against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but failed and dropped to 10th.

Wolves scored two first-half goals to beat Everton 2-1 at the Molineux Stadium to go 7th in the English Premier League(EPL).
Hee-Chen Hwang thought he had scored for Wolves in the 15th minute of the game, but his goal was ruled offside after a VAR check.
Everton eventually conceded a goal after Max Kilman scored in the 28th minute with his head after Rayan Ait Nouri swung in a cross from the left, to make it 1-0 to Wolves.
Raul Jimenez pounced on a loose pass from Ben Godfrey, to double the home side’s advantage, four minutes later.
Everton got a lifeline in the second half when Nigerian midfielder, Alex Iwobi, scored from a neat back heel pass from Micheal Keane to reduce the deficit to 2-1 in the 66th minute.
Wolves dominated the match but Everton had more shots on target but were unable to make it count before the referee, Martin Atkinson, brought proceedings to a close.
With the loss, Everton, have missed the opportunity to go 6th on the table, they have now been leapfrogged by Wolves who are 7th, while Everton occupy the 10th position.
