Nigeria Airforce provides free medical services in Bauchi

Nigeria Airforce has embarked on a two-day medical outreach in Bauchi State communities.

The communities that benefited from the medical outreach are Gubi and Durum, which were located close to the newly established Airforce Base under construction in the state.

The commander of the new 89 Composite Group, Bauchi, Air Commodore Sule Lawal, said in Bauchi on Monday, April 11, 2016, that the Airforce medical team carried out treatment for ailment like Malaria as well as blood tests to detect other diseases.

Other medical services offered, according to him, include, Dental services, eye tests and treatment.

According to the commandant, the medical outreach is part of activities to mark its 52 years anniversary scheduled to hold in Bauchi on April 13th and 14, 2016, tagged, “Re-Uniting for Enhanced Service Delivery and Operational Effectiveness”‎.

He said that the programme was aimed at enhancing the Nigerian Airforce operational capacity through partnership with retired personnel to attain a virile and self-reliant Airforce.

“It would also provide opportunities for the exchange of ideas‎ that could lead to the building of partnership with informed participants in the fight against insurgency in Nigeria.

“The programme will also offer a platform for interaction and a re-union between serving and retired Airforce personnel,” he said.
