BBNaija season 6 brought a lot of drama, suspense and entertainment into the homes of a lot of Nigerians and many were glued to their TV sets for the 71 days the show was on air.
Organizers of the TV reality show have now said the show didn’t come cheap, as it revealed, that hosting the show cost a whooping N4.3 billion.
John Ugbe, CEO of Multichoice, Nigeira made this known at the presentation of the N90 million grand price to the winner of the show, White Money.
According to him, the show employed a lot of Nigerians, improved lives and and brought entertainment to homes.
“We employed 12,000 persons for this show, it cost us N4.3 billion to air this show this year.
“We used BBNaija to enrich lives and contribute positively to society. We hope to continue to do so,” he said.
Multichoice CEO further said, the fans of the show contributed a total of one billion votes to the show this year. .
Recall that the host of the show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, announced that the show gathered over 300 million votes during it’s 10th and final week.
