The Taliban have warned men from trimming their beards, saying defaulters would be subjected to stiff Islamic penalties.
The Islamists say the ban on shaving of beards came after it held talks with barbers in the province of Lashkar Gah, in the Helmand area of the newly formed Islamic Emirate.
The barbers union in the Lashkar Gah province have said that the Taliban ordered them against giving stylish haircut to their customers.
