After two weeks of intrigues and entertainment in the Big Brother Nigeria Season 6 “Shine Ya Eye” edition, it was time for the eviction of some of the housemates in the Big Brother house.

One or more housemates will be expected to exit the game during eviction shows every Sunday. However, there was no eviction last week because the housemates failed to identify the two wild cards players who Big Brother said would be eliminated from the show if unmasked.

The inability of the housemates to pick the wild card entrants, who were eventually revealed as Maria and Pere, had fundamental consequences, as they became eligible to play the game and earned the right to nominate the housemates up for eviction for the week.

The housemates up for eviction this week were Beatrice, Niyi, Yerins, White Money and Youssef. This was after the Head of House, Boma, replaced Jaypaul with Youssef.

Fans of the nominated housemates commenced voting to save their favourites from eviction after Big Brother disclosed their identities on Monday.

The Sunday eviction show kicked off with a surprise as Ebuka, the host, introduced Michael, an artist, as a new housemate and his arrival into the house was met with a bit of mixed feelings by the housemates who had though it was Ebuka that was coming into the house.

But the moment of truth arrived when the show anchor, announced Yerins as the first housemate to be evicted from the show this season, thereafter, Kayvee, a photographer and JMK, a lawyer, were introduced as the second and third new housemates respectively.

Niyi, one of the married housemates, became the second person to leave the Big Brother house while Beatrice, the only female housemate up for eviction, was the third housemate to be evicted.

The eviction show ended with the introduction of Queen, an activist, as the fourth new housemate. With four new housemates and three old housemates evicted, there are now 23 housemates left in the game to compete for the N90 million price at stake.
