An activists group known as Buhari/Osinbajo Initiative For Demonstrating Change in Nigeria at the weekend called on the people of South East geopolitical zone to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption war which has already started yielding dividends across the country.
The group also dismissed insinuations in some quarters that the South East zone was being marginalized by the present administration.
In a chat with newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Chinedu Ogah urged the people to exercise patience with the Buhari-led administration as it provides lasting solutions to the country’s economy.
According to him, the emergence of Buhari and his Vice, Osibanjo was a divine arrangement targeted at revamping the economy which was hitherto weakened by the activities of corrupt individuals.
He said: “We commend President Muhammadu Buhari for his anti-corruption fight which he has used to recover our looted funds. He is making a very good headway; imagine a situation where the revenue and economy of Nigeria dropped drastically. Many states were crying and unable to pay salaries.”
