Goalkeeper Dele Alampasu has been ruled out of the international friendly game between the Under-23 National Team, the Dream Team, and their Brazilian counterparts scheduled for Thursday next week in Brazil.
According to a mail sent to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) by the medical doctor of Alampasu’s Portuguese club, Clube Desportivo Feirense, Dr. Alexandre Brandao, Alampasu suffered an acute appendicitis on March 8 and had to be operated upon immediately.
As a result, the goalkeeper would be out of sporting activities for between two to three weeks.
The report added that the player is still in hospital recuperating from the operation.
With this situation, the Dream Team will now head to Brazil with only two goalkeepers – Emmanuel Daniel and Yusuf Mohammed.
