As the countdown begins to the Match Day 5 of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier which pitches Benin against Nigeria, the French coach of Benin, Michel Dussuyer will later today, release his final list for the match.
The encounter which is important for both teams that are separated by just a point will hold at Stade Charles de Gaulle in Porto Novo, the border town with Nigeria’s Idi Iroko along the Otta town road.
Earlier, Dussuyer had released a provisional list in which a defender of Paris Saint-German, Colin Obasanya Dagba who had committed himself to France having played 13 times for the French U19 team.
According to sources, it is not clear if the player has been cleared for Benin Republic’s Squirrels who are desperate in a group in which all the four teams still have arithmetical chances of qualification.
Dussuyer is expected to address a press conference in at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Sports in Cotonou this Tuesday at about 4.30pm Nigerian time.
Just like in the case of the Super Eagles whose skipper is currently unattached, Benin Republic’s captain, Stéphane Sessegnon is also club less. It is uncertain if he will be in the list to be released today.
