Military aircraft crash: Atiku, Saraki condole with victims’ families

Reactions are pouring in over the military jet that crashed in Abuja on Sunday killing all seven military personnel on board.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as well as former Senate President Bukola Saraki, reacted to the crash on Sunday.

TheNiche had reported that military aircraft, King Air 350 crashed on Sunday morning on the runway of Abuja airport.

Confirming the incident, Air Force Director of public relations and information, Air Vice Marshall Ibikunle Daramola, disclosed that an investigation ha been ordered to determine cause of plane crash, even as he affirmed that all seven personnel aboard the ill-fated aircraft died.

Reacting, Atiku, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections, commiserated with families of those who lost loved ones in the crash.

In a tweet, Atiku wrote: “I have just learnt of the crash of a military aircraft near Abuja. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those onboard the ill-fated flight.”

On his part, Saraki tweeted: “At this time, my prayers are with the Nigerian Air Force and the families and friends of the military personnel involved in today’s Beechcraft KingAir B350i plane crash. I pray for strength for the families.”
