The Niger Delta region oil producing communities (HOSTCOM) on Thursday expressed their anger and frustration with exchange of blows during a public hearing on the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) at the House of Representatives.
The fight broke out at House hearing room 028 among some of the leaders of the host communities.
Though it was not clear what led to the fight, trouble started immediately the HOSTCOM was called by the Chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee to make their presentations.
The chairman had earlier said that after the HOSTCOM completed their presentation, the various host communities would be invited individually to make their presentations.
But they shouted him down with a “no, no, no.”
