Former Aviation minister during President Olusegun Obasanjo government and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) has expressed sadness over the passing away of his colleague minister in Obasanjo’s cabinet, Hon Bala Bawa Ka’oje.
Mourning the death of the former minister, Femi Fani-Kayode said that the man will be greatly missed.
Femi writes: “A former Nigerian Minister of Sports, Hon Bala Bawa Ka’oje, has died in Abuja after a brief illness.
“His funeral prayer is scheduled for today, Tuesday, at the Central mosque Abuja by 2pm.
“Ka’oje, a former House of Representatives member from Kebbi State, was born on September 20, 1960.
“Sad to hear that my friend and brother, the former Minister of Sports, Hon. Bala Bawa Ka’oje has passed on. Bala was my colleague in OBJ’s cabinet and he was an absolute gentleman. Nigeria has lost a great and patriotic son. I shall miss him. My prayers are with his family. RIP brother.”
