After several weeks of deliberation on who becomes the deputy governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has sent a letter naming Hon. Simon Achuba to the Kogi State House of Assembly for ratification.
The hint was dropped Monday in the state capital, Lokoja that Simon Achuba’s name would be submitted to the Kogi State House of Assembly on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
When contacted, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Mr Femi Fanwo told our reporter that due to the crisis in the Assembly over leadership, the name would be submitted for ratification on Wednesday when the House reconvenes.
Even the intervention of the national leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which has majority lawmakers in the House, the leadership crisis persists with Godwin Osuyi holding on to his claim as the Speaker of the House, while Momojimo claims he was not impeached.
