On Sunday, December 13, two Nigerian stand-up comedians, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth and Innocent Idibia, also known as Tuface, would be among the performers at a United Nations Refugee Agency (UNCHR) supported comedy show.
The event will be virtual to be broadcast on the social media platform, LuQuLuQu.
The event, which is tagged: “Africa is a Continent, African is a Country,” will feature other comedians from the continent, including; Malawi’s Daliso Chaponda, Eddie Kadi of Congo and Ak Dans popularly known as ‘The Woke Refugee’, from South Sudan.
Top South Africa’s singer, Lira, is on the list, in addition to celebrity guest appearances by Nomzamo Mbatha, Kat Graham and Hend Sabry.
The event, which commenced since 2017, is designed to help raise awareness and support on forced displacement across Africa.
