The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) super star and former Sexiest Man Alive, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, has congratulated his successor, the newly crowned Michael B. Jordan for his People recognition.
Johnson also teased the 2020 Sexiest Man Alive, Michael B. Jordan, in an Instagram post on Friday, joking that he does not “concede” the title, which Johnson received in 2016.
The past winners of the annual event, which is organized by People, are John Legend, Idris Elba, Blake Shelton and Johnson.
In his congratulatory message to Jordan, the immediate past winner, who voted for Joe Biden in the U.S. presidential election, jokingly evoked Donald Trump.
On Friday, the Black Adam star and 2016’s Sexiest Man posted a picture of himself in People’s latest issue, promoting the section where he spoke about living each day to the fullest, along with a snap of Jordan on the cover.
He wrote: “Congrats to my brother @michaeljordon on the new sexy crown.
“I CONCEDE NOTHING.” Johnson, by implication, bought humour, by citing an excerpt of one of Trump’s post-election tweets, word for word.
