Nigeria’s senior football team, the Super Eagles, have dropped three spots on the latest FIFA ranking, which was released on Thursday.

The three-times African Champions dropped to the 32nd position from the previous 29th spot after playing two friendlies during the last international break.

Nigeria suffered a 1-0 defeat to African Champions, Algeria, and played out a 1-1 draw with Tunisia.

The result ensured that the Super Eagles dropped from third to the fourth position in Africa after loss to the current third-placed Desert Foxes of Algeria.

Senegal is Africa’s most ranked football nation (21), followed by Tunisia (26) and Algeria (30).

Belgium, France, Brazil, England, Portugal, Spain, Uruguay, Argentina, Croatia, and Columbia occupied the top 10 positions on the rankings.

Nigeria will next play Sierra Leone in the African Cup of Nations, AFCON, Qualifiers next month.

Hopefully, the Super Eagles will bounce back after the Nations Cup encounters with the team in the West Coast next month.
