The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) has presented the Certificate of Return to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the Deputy Governor Elect, Lucky Ayedatiwa for winning the just concluded Governorship election in Ondo state.
The Ondo State’s INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ambassador Rufus Akeju presented the Certificate of Return in Akure, the State Capital today.
Akeju advised Governor Akeredolu and the deputy governor-elect to be magnanimous in victory by providing services, basic amenities and infrastructure that would touch the lives of the masses.
Responding, Akeredolu commended INEC for the successful conduct of the election which he described as free and fair election.
The governor who also recognized efforts of the security agents and the electorate dedicated his victory and the certificates to God and the people of Ondo State.
Akeredolu therefore pledged even development of the state regardless of political affiliation and thanked the people of the state for their support during the election.
