Divided

We are divided

Like peas in a pod

Broken pieces in cells

With shallow membranes

We are divided

Like colours in a beam

Broken light rays

In search of enlightenment

We are divided

Like waves in a tide

Broken ripples of spattering tongues

In search of understanding

We are the peas

With false identities

We are the colours

Fostered by false authorities

We are the tongues

Of false difficulties

And so long

As we are divided

Our self-worth will be

Less than our whole

And all at the control of a few
