An Ultralight aircraft with two people on board has been reported missing in central Nepal.
Police in the region said that suspected disappearance of the aircraft over the tourist town of Pokhara was reported on Thursday.
Kaski Police Chief, Hari Pal, said that the aircraft lost contact with the control tower about half-hour after it took off on a mountain flight.
On board the craft were Elizabeth Well, 50, from South Africa and Russian pilot, Vallery Buttenin.
A private helicopter and another ultralight aircraft were deployed to search for the missing aircraft.
The ultra light journey is popular among foreign tourists in Pokhara, a beautiful lake city in western Nepal, located some 200 kilometres west of Kathmandu.
