Delivering the sentence, Federal Court Chief Judge Zulkefli Makinudin said a lighter sentence of community service and a fine was inadequate for the offence.

The court also ordered the forfeiture of the real estate.

The court said Toyo paid only 3.5 million ringgit (784,000 dollars) for the two plots of land and a house on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur in 2007 with an assessed value of at least 6.5 million ringgit.
