The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) on Tuesday released the timetable for chairmanship and councillorship elections in the state.
The council poll will hold on August 22.
The chairman of the ODIEC, Prof Yomi Dinakin, who disclosed this in Akure, the state capital today said adequate preparations have been made to make the election successful.
“All arrangements have been concluded to make the election a successful one and the timetable for the election which will hold on Saturday, August 22 will be as follows.
“Publication of Notice of poll – Tuesday 28th – Thursday 30th July.
“Training of adhoc staff – Tuesday, 11th – Friday, 14th August.”
According to him, “Submission of names of party agents has been slated for Monday, 10th -Thursday, 13th August.
“Pasting of list of Adhoc Staff in Local Government Areas – Monday, 17th -Wednesday, 19th August.
‘”Last day/time for campaign – Thursday, 20th August at 11.59 pm while election proper will hold on Saturday, 22nd of August, 2020,” Dinakin added
