How Ondo commissioner died

-

Sketchy details have emerged on how Ondo Commissioner for Health, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro, died.

A top government officials, who ruled out coronavirus (COVID-19) as cause of his death, said the late commissioner looked good on Thursday morning.

Another source said that the news was shocking because he treated some patients at the hospital hours before he slumped and died.

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said news of the passage of the Health Commissioner was traumatic, and deflating.

A statement by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalajaiye, said late Adegbenro was at the forefront of government efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in Ondo State.

“His demise collides violently with this patriotic assignment.

“He was a party man to the core, readily accessible, humble and dependable. His commitment to the general wellbeing of people within and outside his circle was unparalleled.

“Dr. Adegbenro led a rancour-free lifestyle.

“The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, and Ifedore Local Government area in particular, would find it difficult to replace this committed and pragmatic leader.
