Nigerian consumers set for exotic Heineken Ibiza finale

The UEFA Champions League (UCL) final has become the most-watched annual sporting event in the world.

This Saturday, June 6, when Lionel Messi steps out with his FC Barcelona teammates in Berlin’s Olympiastadion to face Juventus, an estimated global unique reach of over 300 million viewers will be following the proceedings on their television screens.

As usual, some of these viewers will be at Heineken House Lagos, enjoying the match in the company of celebrities. But 20 ‘lucky’ Nigerians will be much further away from home, watching the match as part of an all-expense paid VIP experience on the exotic island of Ibiza, off the coast of Spain.

The third annual edition of Heineken’s Ibiza Final will draw Heineken consumers from 35 countries for the ultimate football viewing and partying weekend.

Ibiza already enjoys a reputation as the summer party capital of the world, attracting the world’s top DJs and hordes of night-clubbers to a pristine island of breath-taking beauty. But in its ninth consecutive year of UCL sponsorship, Heineken is complementing the luxurious Ibiza party experience with world-class football.

Nigerian guests will fly out of Lagos on Friday evening and arrive on the island on Saturday morning. After a full day of Heineken hospitality and pampering, they will settle into comfortable poolside seats to view the UCL final match.

On Sunday, Heineken then follows up the world’s greatest ‘football club closing’ event with the world’s greatest ‘club openings’ parties. A day of beachfront and water sport entertainment will precede exquisite nightclubbing at one of the island’s top clubs, Blue Marlin.

By Tuesday, when the Nigerians board flights back home, they will be filled with memories of an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience.
