He said the yet-to-be collected PVCs were kept in the safe of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The by-election is meant to elect a new officer for the seat of the constituency in the state House of Assembly.

The election is being conducted following the death of the former occupant of the seat, Saidu Rufai, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) last December.

Madami disclosed that six parties namely the APC, PDP, AAC, ADC, APM, and NNPP would be participating in the election with the APM presenting a female candidate, Aisatu Mohammed.

He said there were 59 polling units and 56 voting centres in all the 10 wards of the constituency where election would take place.
