National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members have reported receiving a new monthly allowance of N33,000 in January.
The increment, represents 60 per cent addition to their old allowance of N19,800.
A special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Bashir Ahmad, also confirmed the increment in a tweet.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this promise is also kept, the #NYSC allowance is officially N33,000.00. Members have started seeing their 33k #NYSCAlert payment for the month of January, 2020. Many thanks to President Muhammadu Buhari,” he said.
