Eni-Njoku male hostel of the University of Lagos on Thursday survived a fire incident that would have destroyed property of the students and school.
At 10:40 p.m., October 17, flames emanated from an apparently overused meter in the hostel causing the students to run for dear life.
Because there was no functional fire extinguisher, the students quickly alerted the hall warders who battled with the courageous students to put the flame out.
