Eagles set to fly over Lions of Cameroon

-

Sequel to last Sunday’s misadventure with Madagascar, the Super Eagles have regained their esteem  and set to continue to dominate the ‘Indomitable Lions of Cameroon’ as both countries clash again in the Africa Cup of Nations.

For the records, this match is the 23rd clash of both teams across all competitions and the pendulum sway greatly in Nigeria’s favour.

This is more apparent in the last five matches when Cameroon has found it difficult to prevail over Nigeria.

A win today over Cameroon further makes the Indomitable Lions toothless and clawless cubs.

But the Super Eagles will have to look beyond bare statistics and improve on their goal scoring form to overcome the usual hard fighting Cameroonians.

In three matches so far in the competition, Nigeria have scored just two late goals, which have been canceled by, the two conceded to Madagascar on Sunday.

The good thing is that the Cameroonians have equally not fared better. They have managed just two goals too, but are yet to concede.

Their Dutch coach, Clarence Seedorf, has promised a revived side from the struggling one that we have seen so far.
