Buhari directs NNPC to take over 11 oil mining wells in Ogoniland from Shell

President Muhammdu Buhari has directed the NNPC to take over the operatorship of the oil mining lease/wells in Ogoniland on or before the 30th April, 2019.

In a letter Buhari wrote to the NNPC managing director, Maikanti Baru signed by Abba Kyari, the president’s chief of staff, Buhari directed the NNPC to ensure that the operator commences on or before 2nd May, 2019, and that he should be communicated to.

Kyari’s letter to NNPC was written on March 1, 2019.
