The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, has defeated president Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja by 63 per cent of the total votes cast.

The PDP scored 259,997 votes against APC’s 152,224, representing 63 per cent.
Official results from INEC’s Twitter page indicates that PDP.
PDP consolidated its lead from the 2015 elections with a wider margin in 2019.
In 2015, PDP 157,195 votes against APC’s 146,399 votes.
