For more than two hours, Lagos residents endured a heavy down pour which stalled vote counts in many polling units.
Voting in most polling units ended at about 1 pm, and counting was to commence at 2 pm.
But the rain disrupted the process as many poling officials and voters took shelter where they could find.
After raining heavily for more than than two hours, the vote count commenced at the Oshopey Polling unit of Ikeja, Lagos State.
