The senate has cancelled the Tuesday, January 29 resumption date for as earlier announced. No reason were given for the cancellation.
Senate president Bukola Saraki had earlier announced that the senate will reconvene tomorrow to deliberate the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen on Friday by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Nelson Ayewo, the Clerk of the senate said in a statement on Monday that the February 19 resumption date earlier announced remains.
