Amosun: Tinubu, Osoba working with my detractors

-

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, yesterday called out two former governors, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (Lagos) and Chief Olusegun Osoba (Ogun), over the controversy trailing the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Amosun said the “indefinite silence” from the two former governors confirmed that they were working in concert with his detractors in the party.

He spoke with reporters shortly after the inauguration of the new chief judge of the state, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, at the State Executive Chamber, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The governor also accused APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, of culpability in the alleged concoction of the results of the governorship primary election in the state, which was presented by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
The visibly angry governor challenged the ex-governors to come out of their shells and disprove his allegations.

He said: “The President (Muhammadu Buhari) already knows there was no election in Ogun State. He knows that they just went to Lagos, write all results and what they did is fraud.
“If the NWC or the National Chairman said there was any election in Ogun State, it was all fraud. That is what I said.

“Mr. President already knows: there was no election in Ogun State, other than the one (that of his caucus) we held. The issue of Chief Osoba and Asiwaju (Bola Tinubu) and co; what we said was that there was an indefinite silence from their end and silence means consent. “We have not heard one word from any of them. Was there any election in Ogun State? Yes or No? They should come out and those that are hiding behind one finger, they cannot come out? People at this level should be courageous enough to take position, to come out, to come and tell us whether there was election.

“On governorship, they said they did it or not. The one that we had, there was live telecast, people even witnessed it and how come they are changing that again.”
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Suraj Adekunbi, has raised the alarm over alleged moves to replace his name as the duly elected House of Representatives candidate of APC for Egbado North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency.
Adekunbi said the plot to trade his mandate was being hatched by some members of APC national leadership.
