Reacting to the development, Nesiama said that he was grateful to God for passing the examination, adding that his exposure to various competitions management contributed to his success.
“I am thankful to God for the opportunity to continuously contribute my quota at a higher pedestal to the development of technical officiating in athletics in Africa as a whole and Nigeria.
“The experience I garnered over the years due to my exposure to different types of competition management came to bear during the class and in the examinations,” he said.
Nesiama said that he had been mandated to work in conjunction with the AFN to organise Level One training for technical officials in Nigeria.
NAN reports that Nesiama has joined the rank of Prof. Lucas Ogunjimi and the late Alex Onyenwenwa as the only Nigerians that have qualified as the IAAF Technical Official Level One lecturers.
NAN also reports that Nesiama was appointed in 2017 as one of the International Technical Officials to serve on the Confederation of Africa Athletics ITO panel from 2018 to 2021.
