“We will appoint credible hands and not our nephews, in-laws and cousins into office as being a witness today”.

He maintained that the PDP has the best hands for the seat of the President, saying “All the PDP aspirants are better than what we have today in APC because they didn’t know they will get to leadership. They are used to opposition, they are used to propaganda that’s why when they got to power, all they have been doing is propaganda”.

Dankwambo also stressed that he will restore the dignity and supremacy of the party among all other considerations.

He said at the age of 56, he is neither too young or to old to preside over the affairs of the country.

He described Plateau and Gombe States as brothers and stressed that Plateau has produced Politicians who have contributed immensely to sustaining Democracy in the country.

Dankwambo said he had enjoyed some privileges as a young man growing up and he intends to extend it to other Nigerians when he becomes President

He pledged to revamp the Nigerian socioeconomic landscape and also gives priority to the education sector

The Plateau State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Damishi Sango who also spoke at the occasion said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is nearly dead in the state.

Sango said the poor performance of the ruling party has paralyzed activities at its Secretariat.

“The APC Secretariat in Plateau State now is like a cemetery. Nothing is happening there”.

He assured that Plateau will set the pace in returning the PDP to power while stressing the need for Nigerians to “bundle” President Muhammadu Buhari out of office during the 2019 elections.
