The visit has attracted thousands of protesters who demand that the U.S. president should not have been allowed to into the U.K. in the first place.

On July 12, the day of Trump’s arrival, demonstrators gathered outside Winfield House, the London residence of the U.S. ambassador, Woody Johnson, where Trump and his wife, Melania, spent the night.

Protesters bearing different signs, reading, “Trump is a c*nt. “This is not a welcome parade,” referring to a group of demonstrators who paraded some streets in London to demand that the U.S. president leaves the U.K. immediately.

Other signs asked the U.K. government to send Trump to Prison. Many who responded to interviews say Trump is racist and unpopular.

In the buld-up to his visit, many parliamentarians expressed displeasure, saying Trump is mentally unstable following some of his Twitter tirades.

MP Chuka Umunna joined protesters in London.

“We must not stay silent in the face of racism, sexism, islamophobia, hatred and bigotry, otherwise it becomes normalised – that is why Im marching in London today, as so many have done in cities across the U.S., against President Trump,” Umunna said.

According to Umunna, many people have taken the day off work to protest against Trumps visit. He said this is not a protest against America but against Trump.

The U.S. President came under heavy criticism when he ordered that migrants be locked in camps in the border between the U.S. and Mexico and children separated from their families. Many U.K. parliamentarians took exception to this measure.

The separation caused uproar in the U.S. and called on the president to rescind the decision,

Despite criticisms trailing him, the Trump administration has witness a lot of positives, with jobs growths being at an all time high and black unemployment at all time low.
