Upticomm Marketing Chief Strategist, Olusegun McMedal, explained that the idea is driven by the need to create access for teenagers to learn directly from role models in the society.

“Research has shown that the increasing rise in vices can be traced to people who finished from public schools largely due to a lack of support and guidance from authority figures who could guide and inspire them to make the right choice in their formative years.

“This is a cause that Upticomm wants to champion and we encourage other well-meaning individuals and organisations to support us going forward,” he pleaded.

McMedal said the road to successful career requires more than basic education as research has shown that almost all successful people have mentors who could be parents, teachers, coaches or other authority figures who encourage and guide them to make informed decisions in life.

TheRoleModelSeries™ Conference offers a wide range of resources for sponsorship, and networking to promote programmes and services that support teenagers in public schools to stay engaged in education, skill development, employment, and entrepreneurship that will directly benefit them and their families.
