Ahead of the 2019 general elections, President Muhammadu Buhari has designated former governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Tinubu, to lead the line for the All Progressives Congress (APC) reconciliation and consultation team.
In a statement issued on the Presidency’s verified Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, the President charged Tinubu to resolve difference among members of the ruling party.
The tweets read: “As part of on-going efforts to improve cohesion within the All Progressives Congress (APC), President @MBuhari has designated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead the consultation, reconciliation and confidence-building efforts.
“The assignment will involve resolving disagreements among party members, party leadership and political office holders in some states of the Federation.
